About the role
Responsibilities
- Review translations of new and existing content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and cultural relevance.
- Test and proofread various content formats, including scripts and text within imagery, before they go live.
- Maintain linguistic consistency, tonality, and formality across all translated content.
- Utilize internal tools to identify and edit text within images requiring translation.
- Regularly review and update existing assets to ensure continued accuracy and relevance.
- Collaborate with internal teams, client stakeholders, and external linguist resources.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the French language within the team.
- Research and source trusted materials to fact-check content for client sites.
Requirements
- Fluency in French with strong grammar and spelling skills.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Proven experience in translating and proofreading content across multiple formats.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and without ambiguity.
- Experience collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) and localisation tools.
- Knowledge of usability, accessibility, and content best practices.
