Content Development Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development and production of content for marketing campaigns, community initiatives, and program promotion
• Produce platform-relevant content for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube, including short-form videos and social media visuals
• Translate campaign goals into engaging creative content in collaboration with the marketing team
• Capture community-driven content such as learner stories, testimonials, and event highlights
• Stay updated with social media trends, digital storytelling formats, and new content creation tools
• Support content capture during events, workshops, and community activities
• Ensure all content aligns with ALX brand guidelines and messaging

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in content creation, digital media, or creative marketing
• Strong hands-on skills in video production and editing
• Experience filming and producing short-form social media videos
• Proficiency with video editing tools like Premiere Pro or CapCut
• Ability to create graphic design assets using Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite
• Understanding of social media trends and formats across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
• Strong storytelling and scriptwriting skills
• Ability to work independently from concept to final output
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to adapt global messaging for local audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating motion graphics or animated social media content
• Photography or videography experience using mobile production setups
• Experience working with AI tools for content creation
• Experience producing marketing content for education, tech, or youth-focused brands
• Understanding of performance marketing and ad creatives
