About the role
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct patients to appropriate departments or individuals
- Schedule patient appointments within a team-based care system
- Support patients and families in self-management and behavior change
- Identify emergency situations and take appropriate action
- Adhere to the mission and spirit of Salud Family Health in all patient interactions
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year of general office or call center experience
- Knowledge of multi-line phone systems
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work with sensitivity toward indigent and ethnic minority communities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
