Consumer & Product Communications Lead, APAC

Responsibilities

• Set and execute the APAC consumer and product communications strategy, aligned with regional priorities and global narratives
• Develop clear, accessible narratives that explain the everyday benefits and usefulness of OpenAI’s products, including ChatGPT and Codex
• Work with local comms leads to turn global launches, product updates, and research into locally relevant stories and campaigns
• Lead earned strategy for consumer and product audiences across the region, including technology, lifestyle, culture, and creator media
• Identify and build stories showing how people across APAC use OpenAI’s products in meaningful, practical ways
• Help define the regional approach to consumer education, product storytelling, and creator or influencer engagement
• Support local teams in building strong, repeatable consumer communications programmes across priority APAC markets

Requirements

• 12+ years’ experience in consumer, product, or technology communications
• Deep experience developing consumer-facing narratives for technology products
• Strong earned media experience with relationships across consumer, technology, lifestyle, and culture media
• Proven experience partnering with product, marketing, legal, policy, and research teams
• Experience operating at executive level and advising leaders in high-profile, ambiguous environments
• Experience working in international or regional roles within global companies
