Consumer Marketing Lead, Japan

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of Japan-specific consumer marketing strategies, ensuring local relevance and alignment with global priorities.
• Drive full-funnel marketing initiatives across multiple audiences, including consumers, opinion leaders, and partners.
• Act as a local expert and thought partner, providing deep insights into Japanese culture, consumer behavior, and media dynamics.
• Manage and collaborate with local agencies, creators, and production partners to deliver culturally authentic, high-quality campaigns.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including product marketing, communications, and regional leadership to deliver integrated programs.
• Represent the voice of the Japanese market internally to ensure local nuance is reflected in global strategy and decision-making.

Requirements

• 10+ years of marketing experience with a strong track record of delivering high-impact consumer campaigns in Japan.
• Deep understanding of the Japanese consumer landscape, cultural context, and local media ecosystems.
• Proven ability to build and execute integrated marketing plans across brand, digital, influencer, and partner channels.
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Strong network of local agencies, creatives, and production partners.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across different geographies.
