Consultant/Specialist Psychiatrist

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations, risk evaluations, and diagnostic assessments
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of psychiatric conditions, such as mood, anxiety, psychotic, and personality disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating pharmacological and psychotherapeutic approaches
• Provide crisis intervention and acute psychiatric care when required
• Collaborate with psychologists, counselors, and social workers to ensure integrated patient care
• Monitor patient progress, adjust medications, and ensure optimal clinical outcomes
• Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with DHA and international standards
• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options
• Participate in clinical governance, audits, and continuous professional development

Requirements

• American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
• UK CCT / GMC Specialist Register
• European Board Certification
• Canadian / Australian Fellowship
• Arab Board / FCPS / MD Psychiatry
• Minimum 3–5+ years of post-board experience
• DHA License eligibility or an active license
