Consultant/Specialist Pediatric Cardiologist

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired heart diseases in pediatric patients
• Perform and interpret echocardiography, ECG, cardiac MRI, and stress testing
• Conduct pediatric cardiac catheterization, balloon angioplasty, and interventional procedures
• Provide pre- and post-operative cardiac evaluation in collaboration with cardiac surgeons
• Manage neonatal and critical pediatric cardiac cases, including ICU involvement
• Deliver long-term care for chronic cardiac conditions and follow-up management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including neonatology, PICU, and pediatric surgery
• Counsel families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis
• Participate in clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
• Supervise and mentor junior doctors, residents, and medical students

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience post specialist or board certification
• Recognized board certification such as American Board, UK CCT, or European Board Certification
• Expertise in congenital heart disease
• Eligibility for Dubai Health Authority (DHA) or Department of Health (DOH) license conversion
