About the role
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions affecting bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles
- Perform elective and emergency orthopedic surgeries, including fracture fixation, joint replacements, and arthroscopic procedures
- Evaluate and treat trauma patients, including fractures, dislocations, and soft tissue injuries
- Develop individualized treatment plans involving both surgical and conservative management approaches
- Conduct preoperative assessments and postoperative follow-ups to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation specialists for comprehensive patient care
- Utilize advanced diagnostic imaging such as X-ray, MRI, and CT for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records in compliance with UAE healthcare regulations
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and orthopedic programs
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of experience post specialist or board certification
- Recognized Orthopedic Surgery specialist qualification (e.g., ABOS, UK CCT/FRCS, European Board, Royal College Canada, FRACS, Arab Board, or FCPS)
- Eligibility for DOH / DHA / MOH licensing in the UAE
