Consultant/Specialist Neurosurgeon

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and surgically manage brain, spine, and peripheral nervous system disorders
• Perform cranial surgeries, spine surgeries, tumor resections, and neurotrauma procedures
• Conduct minimally invasive and image-guided neurosurgical interventions
• Manage complex neurological conditions, including brain tumors and vascular malformations
• Provide pre-operative evaluation and post-operative care, including ICU coordination
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including neurology, oncology, and radiology
• Participate in emergency neurosurgical services and on-call rotations
• Ensure adherence to clinical governance, patient safety, and international surgical protocols
• Mentor junior doctors and surgical trainees

Requirements

• American Board of Neurological Surgery, FRCS (Neurosurgery), or European Board Certification
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience post board certification
• Eligibility for Dubai Health Authority (DHA) or Department of Health (DOH) license conversion
• Expertise in brain surgery, spine surgery, and neurotrauma
