Consultant/Specialist Emergency Medicine

Responsibilities

• Provide rapid assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with acute medical, surgical, and traumatic conditions.
• Stabilize patients experiencing life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac, respiratory, and neurological conditions.
• Perform emergency medical procedures such as airway management, intubation, resuscitation, and wound management.
• Lead advanced life support and resuscitation efforts, including cardiac arrest and trauma response.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and specialist physicians for patient admission, referral, or discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Ensure adherence to evidence-based emergency care protocols and patient safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Specialist qualification such as American Board, UK CCT/FRCEM, European Board, Royal College (Canada), Australian Fellowship (FACEM), Arab Board, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience post-specialist or board certification.
• Eligibility for DHA, DOH, or MOH licensing in the UAE.
