Consultant/Specialist Critical Care Medicine Physician

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive management for critically ill patients with conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, and multi-organ dysfunction
• Lead ICU care for patients requiring mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic support, and continuous monitoring
• Perform and supervise advanced life support procedures, including intubation, central line insertion, and arterial line placement
• Coordinate care for post-operative and trauma patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention
• Participate in rapid response and code blue teams to ensure timely intervention in life-threatening situations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and emergency physicians
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, ICU quality standards, and international critical care guidelines
• Provide family communication and counseling regarding patient condition, prognosis, and treatment plans

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of post-specialty experience in Critical Care Medicine
• Recognized specialist qualifications such as:
• American Board of Internal Medicine (Critical Care)
• American Board of Anesthesiology (Critical Care)
• UK CCT / FRCA / MRCP with Critical Care training
• Royal College Certification (Canada)
• Australian Fellowship (FANZCA / CICM)
• Arab Board in Critical Care Medicine
• DM / DNB / FCPS Critical Care Medicine or equivalent
