Consultant/Senior Consultant – Business Cases (Defence)

Responsibilities

• Author HM Treasury Green Book compliant business cases for major Defence programmes
• Demonstrate value-for-money and strategic alignment for clients
• Support the full business case lifecycle from Project Initiation to Full Business Case
• Produce documentation and supporting annexes
• Coordinate diverse and challenging stakeholders
• Conduct in-depth research, benchmarking, and industry analysis
• Develop charts and graphs to visually represent data

Requirements

• Proven experience authoring strategic documentation in the defence sector
• Knowledge of the HM Treasury Green Book 5-Case Model
• Knowledge of the UK Defence Sector, including legislation and procurement
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Better Business Case accreditation
• Security Clearance (SC) or willingness to attain it
• Experience in project leadership and delivery
• Financial literacy and ability to conduct financial analysis
• Proficiency in Excel and Power BI
• Understanding of benefits or requirements management
• Experience in business generation and proposal preparation
