Consultant Structural Engineer (Buildings)

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and design for building and infrastructure projects within the Property and Buildings Team.
• Perform professional structural engineering work, including research, inspections, and site condition assessments.
• Develop construction plans, specifications, and advanced modeling techniques to ensure safety and functionality.
• Prepare accurate technical reports, calculations, sketches, and 2D/3D illustrations.
• Manage small to mid-level projects, including tracking hours, expenses, and resource allocation.
• Provide guidance, training, and leadership to entry-level engineers and junior team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of architects, planners, and scientific professionals to execute concurrent projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant post-education experience in structural engineering.
• Proficiency in discipline-specific design software, specifically RAM Concept or ETABS.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, codes, and construction laws.
• Proven experience in project management and construction management.
• Excellent technical writing and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain strict adherence to QA/QC standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Engineering.
• Essential Professional Licensure or Certification.
