About the role
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients requiring radiation therapy for malignant and selected benign conditions
- Develop individualized radiation treatment plans using advanced planning systems including IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, SBRT, and SRS
- Collaborate with medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists in multidisciplinary tumor boards
- Monitor patient response to treatment and manage radiation-related side effects and complications
- Provide comprehensive patient consultations regarding treatment options, risks, and expected outcomes
- Ensure accurate contouring of target volumes and organs at risk using CT, MRI, and PET imaging
- Supervise and coordinate with radiation therapists, medical physicists, and dosimetrists
- Participate in quality assurance programs, clinical audits, and research activities
Requirements
- Board certification in Radiation Oncology (e.g., American Board, UK CCT/FRCR, European Board, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3+ years of post-specialist or board certification experience
- Proven experience with advanced radiotherapy technologies such as IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, SBRT, and SRS
- Eligibility for DOH, DHA, or MOH licensing in the UAE
