Consultant/Specialist Pulmonologist

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage respiratory diseases including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and bronchitis
• Evaluate and treat complex conditions such as interstitial lung disease and pulmonary hypertension
• Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests (PFTs), spirometry, and other diagnostic investigations
• Conduct bronchoscopy and related pulmonary procedures
• Manage sleep-related breathing disorders and coordinate sleep study evaluations
• Provide inpatient consultations for acute respiratory failure and severe pulmonary infections
• Collaborate with critical care teams, thoracic surgeons, and infectious disease specialists
• Develop personalized treatment plans and long-term disease management strategies
• Provide patient education on smoking cessation and pulmonary rehabilitation
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to UAE healthcare regulations

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience post-specialist or board certification
• Recognized specialist qualification (e.g., American Board, UK CCT/MRCP, European Board, Royal College Canada, or equivalent)
• Expertise in PFTs, spirometry, and bronchoscopy
• Eligibility for DOH, DHA, or MOH licensing
