Consultant/Specialist Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the oral cavity, jawbones, facial structures, and surrounding soft tissues
• Perform surgical procedures including impacted wisdom tooth extraction, dental implant placement, corrective jaw surgery, and facial trauma reconstruction
• Manage facial fractures and traumatic injuries involving the jaw, cheekbones, and surrounding structures
• Treat oral pathology such as cysts, tumors, infections, and other abnormalities
• Perform reconstructive procedures for congenital deformities, trauma-related defects, and functional jaw disorders
• Evaluate and manage temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders
• Collaborate with orthodontists, ENT specialists, plastic surgeons, and oncology teams for multidisciplinary care
• Conduct pre-operative assessments, surgical planning, and post-operative follow-up care
• Utilize advanced diagnostic imaging such as CT scans and 3D imaging for surgical planning
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to infection control protocols and UAE healthcare regulations

Requirements

• Medical or Dental degree (MBBS or BDS)
• Specialist qualification in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (e.g., MDS, DNB, FCPS, American Board, UK CCT/FRCS, or equivalent)
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in a hospital or advanced clinical setting
