Consultant/Specialist General Surgeon

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient general surgery care
• Perform elective and emergency surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and open surgeries
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of surgical conditions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in hospital clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives
• Maintain compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and hospital clinical protocols

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years post specialist or board certification
• Recognised specialist qualification (e.g., American Board, UK CCT/FRCS, European Board, Royal College Canada, Australian Fellowship, Arab Board, or FCPS)
• Eligibility for DHA/DOH license conversion
• Ability to perform both elective and emergency surgical procedures
