Consultant/Specialist Gastroenterologist

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal disorders including acid reflux, IBS, IBD, and gastrointestinal infections
• Evaluate and treat liver-related conditions such as hepatitis, fatty liver disease, and cirrhosis
• Perform and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy
• Manage gastrointestinal bleeding and complex digestive disorders
• Provide screening and preventive care for colorectal cancer and other gastrointestinal diseases
• Collaborate with surgeons, hepatologists, oncologists, and radiologists for multidisciplinary patient management
• Develop individualized treatment plans and long-term management strategies for chronic conditions
• Provide patient education regarding diet, lifestyle modification, and preventive digestive health care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records in accordance with hospital standards

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience post-specialist or board certification
• Recognised specialist qualification (e.g., American Board, UK CCT/MRCP, European Board, Royal College Canada, Australian Fellowship, or Arab Board)
• Eligibility for DOH / DHA / MOH licensing in the UAE
