Consultant/Specialist Clinical Pathologist

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage clinical laboratory services including hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and immunology
• Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timely reporting of diagnostic test results
• Interpret laboratory findings and provide clinical consultation to physicians
• Implement and monitor quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) programs
• Ensure compliance with international accreditation standards such as JCI, CAP, and ISO
• Supervise laboratory staff, including technologists and technicians
• Participate in infection control, transfusion medicine, and clinical governance programs
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and laboratory efficiency

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of post-specialist or board certification experience
• Recognized board certification such as American Board of Pathology, UK CCT / FRCPath, European Board, Royal College (Canada), Australian Fellowship, Arab Board, MD Pathology, DNB, or FCPS
• Eligibility for Dubai Health Authority (DHA) or Department of Health (DOH) license conversion
