Consultant/Specialist Cardiothoracic Surgeon

Responsibilities

• Perform complex cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG and valve repair/replacement
• Conduct thoracic surgical procedures, such as lung resections and mediastinal surgeries
• Utilize minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgical techniques
• Manage pre-operative evaluation, surgical planning, and post-operative critical care coordination
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including cardiologists, pulmonologists, and intensivists
• Participate in heart team discussions, clinical audits, and research initiatives
• Manage cardiothoracic surgical emergencies and acute cardiac conditions
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and surgical safety standards

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience post-specialist or board certification
• Recognised specialist qualification (e.g., American Board, UK CCT/FRCS, European Board, Royal College Canada, FRACS, or Arab Board)
• Eligibility for DOH, DHA, or MOH licensing in the UAE
