Consultant Site Investigation and Remediation

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with international teams to deliver contaminated site management projects from investigation through remediation
• Manage entire projects or support senior managers with proposal writing, project planning, and delivery
• Conduct environmental fieldwork including ambient air and soil gas sampling
• Oversee subcontractors during soil drilling and the installation and maintenance of remediation systems
• Perform Phase I and Phase II environmental assessments, vapour intrusion investigations, and remediation feasibility studies
• Coordinate laboratory services and interpret or visualize environmental data
• Draft technical reports and recommend actions to ensure client objectives and regulatory compliance are met
• Perform health and safety planning and oversight to ensure team safety during project operations

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in an environmental discipline (e.g., bio-engineering, earth sciences, geology, hydrology, or chemistry)
• 3 to 7 years of experience as an environmental consultant or managing remediation projects
• Native Flemish/Dutch speaker with high proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Working knowledge of Flemish contaminated land legislation and soil/groundwater remediation techniques
• Valid driving license (Category B)
• Ability to travel for work occasionally
