Consultant Rheumatologist

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage rheumatologic conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, and osteoporosis
• Conduct comprehensive outpatient and inpatient rheumatology consultations
• Develop individualized treatment plans, including biologic therapies and long-term disease management
• Perform joint examinations, musculoskeletal assessments, and rheumatologic procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including orthopedics, nephrology, and physiotherapy
• Educate patients and families regarding chronic disease management and lifestyle modifications
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with DOH regulations

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi
• Board Certification or Fellowship in Rheumatology
• Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter
• 5–7 years of post-board consultant experience in a tertiary care or multispecialty hospital
• Expertise in managing autoimmune and inflammatory rheumatic diseases

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with biologic therapies and advanced rheumatologic treatments
• Musculoskeletal ultrasound skills
• Experience working in a multicultural healthcare environment
