Consultant - Quantum Claims and Disputes

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis of construction accounts, costs, values, and payments to identify discrepancies, risks, and opportunities
• Undertake technical quantum analyses using industry-accepted methodologies
• Contribute sections to expert reports used in arbitration and adjudication
• Draft components of quantum expert reports under senior guidance
• Review documentation across infrastructure, oil & gas, and residential sectors
• Support project teams and Experts on major assignments
• Prepare notes, briefing materials, and external communications
• Participate in client meetings and stakeholder engagement
• Attend marketing, networking, and industry events to develop professional networks

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying or cost-control roles within a reputable contractor
• Experience managing commercial administration of construction contracts
• Exposure to assessing claims for legitimacy and quantum
• Strong understanding of key forms of contract and their administration
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and briefing documents
• Strong technical competency with relevant software tools
• Ability to communicate technical material to non-technical audiences
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience undertaking claims assessments
• Participation in dispute discussions
• Experience identifying and mitigating risks
• Experience performing contract reviews
