Consultant Psychiatrist

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical care including psychiatric assessments, treatment planning, and ward rounds
• Act as Responsible Clinician under the Mental Health Act
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver person-centred, recovery-focused care
• Maintain relationships with referring Trusts, community teams, and families
• Contribute to clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in the non-residential on-call rota

Requirements

• Full GMC registration
• Significant experience working within multidisciplinary teams
• Proven leadership in care coordination and discharge planning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work autonomously using evidence-based practice
