Consultant Psychiatrist

Responsibilities

• Provide expert psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and formulation for patients with OCD and related anxiety spectrum disorders
• Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of specialized OCD treatment programs
• Integrate medication management, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and other interventions
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, nurses, and social workers
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior psychiatrists and trainees
• Contribute to research, clinical audits, and service development projects
• Engage with external stakeholders and primary care providers to ensure seamless care transitions

Requirements

• Fully qualified Consultant Psychiatrist
• Registered with the GMC and on the Specialist Register in Psychiatry
• Substantial post-qualification experience treating OCD and anxiety disorders
• Expertise in pharmacological and psychological interventions
• Experience in multidisciplinary team environments and clinical leadership
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
