About the role

Responsibilities

  • Take clinical responsibility for patients on the Male PICU ward, including leading ward rounds, risk reviews, and care planning
  • Act as Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983)
  • Supervise referrals, admissions, and pre-admission assessments
  • Provide psychiatric expertise to the multidisciplinary team in assessment, formulation, and treatment of adults
  • Contribute to the development of a therapeutic environment that promotes wellbeing, dignity, and recovery

Requirements

  • GMC registration and inclusion on the Specialist Register
  • Experience in adult psychiatry and PICU settings
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, rewarding environment
