Consultant Psychiatrist

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans alongside the multidisciplinary team
• Lead ward rounds, MDT meetings, and oversee complex clinical cases including risk management
• Support patients and families with treatment planning, relapse prevention, and recovery
• Provide supervision to junior staff and contribute to service quality and compliance
• Collaborate with site leadership to enhance service delivery and patient experience

Requirements

• Fully registered medical practitioner with the GMC and a valid licence to practise
• On the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
• Hold Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status
• Experience managing complex eating disorder cases in an inpatient adolescent setting
• Strong clinical leadership and risk management expertise
