Consultant Psychiatrist

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical care as a Responsible Clinician
• Assist qualified staff with assessments and individual care plan implementation
• Undertake routine clinical tasks to support patient dignity and recovery
• Manage complex cases within learning disability psychiatry
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Participate in the non-residential second on-call rota

Requirements

• CCT or CESR in Psychiatry of Learning Disability
• Approved Clinician status
• Experience managing complex clinical presentations in learning disabilities
• Understanding of recovery-focused care and positive risk-taking
• Strong leadership abilities and a patient-centred approach
