About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as Consultant and Responsible Clinician, leading patient care planning and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Assess and manage complex cases, chairing MDT and CPA meetings
- Liaise with patients, families, and external agencies
- Provide clinical leadership alongside the Ward Manager
- Ensure compliance with organisational and regulatory standards
- Contribute to governance, quality improvement, and service development
- Engage in academic and professional development including teaching, audit, and research
Requirements
- Full GMC registration and on the Specialist Register
- CAMHS CCT or equivalent CESR qualification
- Approved Clinician status
- Significant experience within CAMHS inpatient or community settings
- Strong clinical judgment, leadership, and communication skills
- Thorough understanding of Mental Health Act (MHA) and Mental Capacity Act (MCA)
