Consultant Psychiatrist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of mental health disorders, including mood, anxiety, psychosis, and personality disorders
• Provide psychiatric evaluations, risk assessments, and ongoing treatment planning
• Manage both acute psychiatric presentations and long-term mental health conditions
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications safely and effectively
• Deliver inpatient, outpatient, and emergency psychiatric care
• Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical governance
• Provide supervision and training to junior doctors and mental health staff

Requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution
• Board Certification in Psychiatry (mandatory)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist
• UK CCT / MRCPsych or equivalent Western training
• Fluency in both Arabic and English
• Eligibility for UAE medical licensing (MOHAP)
• Strong experience in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care
