Consultant Psychiatrist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and PTSD
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide pharmacological treatment, psychotherapy, counseling, and behavioral interventions
• Manage both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric cases
• Provide crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric care when required
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, neurologists, and social workers
• Educate patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with Saudi healthcare regulations

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by SCFHS
• Board Certification or Fellowship in Psychiatry
• Valid SCFHS Consultant Registration or eligibility
• 5–7 years of post-board consultant experience in Psychiatry
• Mandatory fluency in both Arabic and English
• Strong expertise in adult psychiatry and mental health management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in community psychiatry and multidisciplinary mental health programs
• Exposure to psychotherapy and behavioral therapy approaches
• Academic and research experience
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment
