Consultant, Pediatrics

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric care across outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, and neonatal or pediatric units.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic pediatric conditions in line with international best practices.
• Lead clinical decision-making and ensure high standards of patient safety and quality of care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including neonatology, obstetrics, and pediatric subspecialties, to ensure integrated care pathways.
• Participate in on-call coverage as required.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support teaching and mentorship of junior medical staff and contribute to ongoing medical education.
• Maintain accurate and compliant medical records in line with DOH and hospital standards.

Requirements

• Medical Degree with specialization in Pediatrics.
• Western Board Certification (CCT/CCST, American Board, Canadian, Australian) or equivalent Tier 1 qualification.
• Existing DOH License or Eligibility as Consultant Pediatrics.
• Minimum 8–10 years of clinical experience, including significant experience at Consultant level.
• Proven expertise in managing complex pediatric cases within a hospital setting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
