Consultant Pediatric Vascular Surgeon

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired vascular conditions in pediatric patients.
• Perform complex pediatric vascular surgical procedures, including vascular reconstructions, management of malformations, and aneurysms.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations for arterial, venous, and lymphatic disorders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including pediatric surgeons, interventional radiologists, and cardiologists.
• Participate in emergency management of pediatric vascular trauma and acute vascular conditions.
• Develop individualized surgical and postoperative care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and surgical risks.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with DOH Abu Dhabi regulations.

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.
• Board Certification or Fellowship in Vascular Surgery with subspecialty experience in Paediatric Vascular Surgery.
• Valid DOH Consultant License or an Eligibility Letter for Vascular Surgery.
• Minimum 5–7 years of post-board consultant experience in pediatric vascular surgery.
• Proven expertise in complex pediatric vascular and reconstructive procedures.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing vascular malformations and pediatric vascular anomalies.
• Exposure to hybrid vascular and endovascular pediatric procedures.
• Academic and research experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment.
