Consultant Pediatric Vascular Surgeon

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired vascular conditions in pediatric patients.
• Perform pediatric vascular surgical procedures including vascular reconstructions, management of vascular malformations, and complex vascular access.
• Evaluate and manage arterial, venous, and lymphatic disorders in infants, children, and adolescents.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations within a multidisciplinary pediatric environment.
• Collaborate with pediatric surgeons, interventional radiologists, cardiologists, and intensivists.
• Participate in emergency management of pediatric vascular trauma and acute vascular conditions.
• Develop individualized surgical and postoperative care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and surgical risks.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with DOH Abu Dhabi regulations.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, teaching, and continuing medical education programs.

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.
• Board Certification or Fellowship in Vascular Surgery.
• Subspecialty experience in Paediatric Vascular Surgery.
• Valid DOH Consultant License or an Eligibility Letter.
• Minimum 5–7 years of post-board consultant experience in pediatric vascular surgery within a tertiary or academic hospital.
• Strong expertise in complex pediatric vascular and reconstructive procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing vascular malformations and pediatric vascular anomalies.
• Exposure to hybrid vascular and endovascular pediatric procedures.
• Academic and research experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment.
