Consultant Pediatric Psychiatrist

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for children and adolescents
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric mental health conditions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including psychotherapy and medication management
• Provide ongoing follow-up and monitoring of patients’ progress
• Work collaboratively with psychologists, pediatricians, therapists, nurses, and school counselors
• Engage and support families, offering education and guidance in Arabic and English
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records
• Adhere to DHA regulations, ethical standards, and best clinical practices

Requirements

• CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
• Eligibility for DHA licensure (or currently licensed)
• Fluency in Arabic is essential
• Strong English communication skills
• Proven clinical experience working with children and adolescents

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the Middle East or with Arabic-speaking populations
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
