Consultant Pediatric Plastic Surgeon

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired pediatric plastic and reconstructive conditions
• Perform specialized procedures including cleft lip and palate repair, craniofacial reconstruction, hand surgery, and burn reconstruction
• Evaluate and manage pediatric trauma and complex reconstructive surgical cases
• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations within a multidisciplinary environment
• Collaborate with neurosurgeons, ENT specialists, orthopedic surgeons, and dermatologists
• Develop individualized treatment and postoperative rehabilitation plans
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, surgical risks, and postoperative care
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with DOH Abu Dhabi regulations

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi
• Board Certification or Fellowship in Plastic Surgery
• Subspecialty experience in Pediatric Plastic Surgery
• Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter
• 5–7 years of post-board consultant experience in a tertiary care or academic hospital
• Strong expertise in pediatric reconstructive and cosmetic surgical procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cleft and craniofacial multidisciplinary programs
• Exposure to pediatric microsurgery and complex reconstructive procedures
• Academic and research experience
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment
