Consultant Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients with congenital, developmental, neurological, musculoskeletal, and acquired disabilities
• Develop individualized rehabilitation treatment plans tailored to functional goals and medical needs
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary programs involving physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and psychologists
• Manage conditions such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, and traumatic brain injury
• Perform and supervise rehabilitation procedures including spasticity management and botulinum toxin injections
• Provide family counseling, education, and long-term care guidance
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with DOH regulations and clinical governance standards

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MBBS/MD) from a recognized institution
• Board Certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation with a subspecialty in Pediatric Rehabilitation
• DOH Abu Dhabi License or eligibility as a Consultant PM&R
• 5–7 years of post-board experience in pediatric rehabilitation and PM&R practice
• Expertise in pediatric neurorehabilitation and musculoskeletal rehabilitation
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in advanced rehabilitation technologies and assistive devices
• Training in pediatric spasticity management and ultrasound-guided procedures
• Experience working within internationally accredited healthcare facilities
