Consultant Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients with congenital, developmental, neurological, musculoskeletal, and acquired disabilities
• Develop individualized rehabilitation treatment plans tailored to each patient’s functional goals and medical needs
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs involving physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists
• Manage conditions including cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, and traumatic brain injury
• Perform and supervise rehabilitation procedures including spasticity management and orthotic recommendations
• Provide family counseling, education, and long-term care guidance
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with DOH regulations and clinical governance standards

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution
• Board Certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation with subspecialty expertise in Pediatric Rehabilitation
• Valid DOH Abu Dhabi License or eligibility as Consultant PM&R
• Minimum 5–7 years of post-board experience in pediatric rehabilitation
• Expertise in pediatric neurorehabilitation and multidisciplinary management
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in advanced rehabilitation technologies and assistive devices
• Training in pediatric spasticity management and ultrasound-guided procedures
• Experience working within internationally accredited healthcare facilities
• Fluency in Arabic
