Consultant Pediatric Ophthalmologist

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye care for pediatric patients with a range of eye conditions
• Perform specialized surgical procedures, including strabismus surgery, pediatric cataracts, and congenital glaucoma
• Manage amblyopia, congenital, and developmental eye disorders
• Provide ROP screening and treatment
• Provide expert care for patients with complex uveitis and ocular inflammatory disorders
• Manage systemic and ocular immunosuppression therapies
• Perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Collaborate with subspecialists and medical specialties in a multidisciplinary setting
• Contribute to teaching, research, and academic initiatives

Requirements

• Fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus
• Board certification (or equivalent)
• DOH Abu Dhabi licensure eligibility
• Minimum 5 years of post-fellowship clinical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Fellowship training in Uveitis/Ocular Immunology
