Consultant Pediatric Ophthalmologist

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye care for pediatric patients with a range of eye conditions
• Diagnose and treat eye conditions in children, including amblyopia and congenital/developmental disorders
• Perform specialized surgical procedures such as strabismus surgery, pediatric cataracts, and congenital glaucoma
• Provide ROP screening and treatment
• Manage complex uveitis and ocular inflammatory disorders
• Manage systemic and ocular immunosuppression therapies
• Perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Collaborate with subspecialists and other medical specialties in a multidisciplinary setting
• Contribute to teaching, research, and academic initiatives

Requirements

• Fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus
• Board certification (or equivalent)
• Eligibility for licensure with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH)
• Minimum 5 years of post-fellowship clinical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Fellowship training in Uveitis/Ocular Immunology
• Experience managing complex ocular inflammatory disorders
