Consultant Pediatric Neuro-Oncologist

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a full spectrum of pediatric CNS tumors, including medulloblastoma, ependymoma, gliomas, and germ cell tumors
• Lead and coordinate individualized treatment plans involving chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and immunotherapy
• Collaborate with radiation oncology and pediatric neurosurgeons for comprehensive treatment planning
• Manage treatment-related complications such as neurotoxicity, endocrinopathies, and long-term survivorship issues
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and complex care pathway discussions
• Contribute to the strategic development of the pediatric neuro-oncology service and clinical protocols
• Mentor junior physicians, fellows, and clinical staff
• Participate in clinical trials, research initiatives, and academic publishing
• Communicate diagnoses and prognostic information to families with clarity and compassion

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MD/MBBS) from a recognized institution
• Board Certification in Pediatric Oncology/Hematology (e.g., American Board, Royal College, Arab Board, or equivalent)
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Neuro-Oncology from a recognized center
• 8–10 years of post-specialization experience, including consultant-level practice
• Demonstrated expertise in managing complex CNS tumors and advanced therapies
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage
