About the role

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a full spectrum of pediatric CNS tumors, including medulloblastoma, ependymoma, gliomas, and germ cell tumors.
  • Lead and coordinate individualized treatment plans involving chemotherapy, targeted therapies, immunotherapies, and radiotherapy planning.
  • Collaborate with pediatric neurosurgeons for surgical planning and manage treatment-related complications such as neurotoxicity and endocrinopathies.
  • Provide both inpatient and outpatient care, including long-term follow-up for survivors.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and complex care pathway discussions.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the pediatric neuro-oncology service and clinical protocols.
  • Mentor junior physicians, fellows, and clinical staff.
  • Engage in clinical trials, research initiatives, and academic publishing.
  • Communicate diagnoses and prognostic information to families with clarity and compassion.

Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MD/MBBS) from a recognized institution.
  • Board Certification in Pediatric Oncology/Hematology (e.g., American Board, Canadian Board, or equivalent).
  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Neuro-Oncology from a recognized center.
  • 8–10 years of post-specialization experience, including consultant-level practice.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex CNS tumors and advanced therapies.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
