Consultant Pediatric Nephrologist

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage pediatric renal conditions, including CAKUT, nephrotic syndromes, and acute/chronic kidney disease
• Oversee pediatric dialysis programs, including both peritoneal and hemodialysis
• Collaborate with pediatric urologists, endocrinologists, and intensivists to provide integrated multidisciplinary care
• Guide renal transplant evaluations and manage post-transplant care
• Interpret renal imaging, biopsy results, and advanced laboratory diagnostics
• Educate families on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and long-term care plans
• Participate in clinical audits, research, and continuous medical education (CME) activities

Requirements

• Board certification in Pediatric Nephrology (e.g., American Board, Royal College, or equivalent)
• Valid SCFHS license or eligibility to obtain one
• Minimum of 5 years of post-specialization experience in a tertiary or academic hospital setting
• Proven expertise in managing complex renal cases and pediatric dialysis
• Strong communication skills and a family-centered approach to clinical care
