Consultant Pediatric Interventional Cardiologist

Responsibilities

• Perform a full spectrum of pediatric cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures, including ASD/VSD/PDA device closures, balloon valvuloplasty, and angioplasty
• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents with congenital and acquired heart diseases
• Interpret echocardiography, ECG, Holter, and CT/MRI cardiac imaging
• Participate in multidisciplinary cardiac conferences and surgical planning
• Provide on-call coverage for pediatric cardiac emergencies
• Collaborate with pediatric cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and intensivists
• Mentor junior physicians, fellows, and clinical staff
• Engage in clinical research, audits, and academic presentations

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MD/MBBS) from a recognized institution
• Board Certification in Pediatric Cardiology (e.g., American Board, Royal College, Arab Board, or equivalent)
• Fellowship training in Interventional Pediatric Cardiology from a recognized center
• 5–10 years of post-fellowship experience in a high-volume pediatric cardiac center
• Eligibility for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) Consultant classification
• Strong procedural portfolio with documented interventional experience
• Excellent communication, leadership, and patient-centered care skills
• Fluency in English; Arabic is beneficial but not required
