About the role
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a broad range of pediatric hematologic and oncologic conditions, including leukemia, lymphoma, and clotting disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical protocols and evidence-based practices
- Administer and oversee chemotherapy, immunotherapy, transfusion therapy, and supportive care
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams including pediatricians, surgeons, radiologists, and nurses
- Monitor patient progress and treatment response, adjusting management plans as required
- Provide compassionate counseling and emotional support to patients and families
- Participate in tumor boards, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with DOH regulations
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MBBS/MD) from a recognized institution
- Specialty training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
- Recognized certification: UK CCT, American Board, or Canadian Board Certification
- Mandatory DOH Abu Dhabi License or eligibility
- Minimum 5 years of post-board experience in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
- Fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in bone marrow transplantation and advanced pediatric oncology treatments
- Background working in internationally accredited hospitals or tertiary healthcare centers
- Experience in clinical research, academic teaching, or medical publications
- Proficiency in Arabic
