Consultant Pediatric Endocrinologist

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric endocrine disorders, including diabetes mellitus, growth disorders, thyroid diseases, and metabolic bone diseases.
• Conduct comprehensive endocrine evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for infants, children, and adolescents.
• Manage Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, including insulin therapy and continuous glucose monitoring systems.
• Interpret laboratory investigations, imaging studies, and endocrine function tests.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of pediatricians, geneticists, dietitians, and psychologists.
• Educate patients and families regarding disease management, treatment adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
• Supervise and mentor junior physicians, residents, and fellows.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Board Certification in Pediatrics.
• Fellowship or Subspecialty Certification in Pediatric Endocrinology.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing as a Consultant Pediatric Endocrinologist.
• Eligibility for licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Western Board Certification (UK CCT, American Board, Canadian Fellowship, Australian Fellowship, or equivalent).
• Experience working in tertiary-care children's hospitals or academic medical centers.
• Research, teaching, or publication experience in Pediatric Endocrinology.
• Experience with insulin pump therapy and advanced diabetes technologies.
