Consultant Pediatric Emergency Medicine

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-standard emergency care to pediatric patients, ranging from neonates to adolescents
• Manage acute medical and surgical emergencies, including trauma, infectious diseases, and respiratory distress
• Lead multidisciplinary resuscitation teams and manage complex triage cases
• Mentor junior physicians and allied health professionals regarding emergency protocols
• Collaborate with pediatric ICU, surgical specialties, and laboratory teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Contribute to clinical training programs, audits, and research initiatives
• Ensure strict compliance with MOH and JCIA standards in all clinical documentation and procedures

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completed pediatric and emergency training
• Board Certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine (e.g., American Board, UK CCT, or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of post-specialty clinical experience, preferably within tertiary hospitals
• Valid professional licensure or eligibility for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) Consultant classification
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are considered an advantage

• Demonstrated leadership experience in high-pressure, fast-paced clinical environments
• Proven track record of innovation in pediatric emergency care models or trauma systems
• Culturally competent and family-centered approach to patient care
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and international hospital standards
