Consultant Pediatric Craniofacial Surgeon

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired craniofacial conditions in pediatric patients
• Perform complex surgical procedures including correction of craniosynostosis, cleft-related deformities, and facial asymmetry
• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations for pediatric craniofacial surgery cases
• Collaborate with neurosurgeons, ENT specialists, orthodontists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Develop individualized treatment and long-term reconstructive care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, surgical options, and postoperative care
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with DOH Abu Dhabi regulations
• Participate in clinical audits, research, and continuing medical education programs

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi
• Board Certification or Fellowship in Plastic Surgery, Craniofacial Surgery, or Pediatric Craniofacial Surgery
• Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in the relevant specialty
• 5–7 years of post-board consultant experience in pediatric craniofacial surgery within a tertiary or academic hospital
• Strong expertise in pediatric craniofacial reconstructive and corrective surgical procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cleft and craniofacial multidisciplinary programs
• Exposure to advanced craniofacial reconstruction and pediatric skull base procedures
• Academic and research experience
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment
