Consultant Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care management for pediatric cardiac patients, including pre-operative stabilization and post-operative management following congenital heart surgery
• Manage ECMO, mechanical ventilation, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Lead daily PCICU rounds and coordinate multidisciplinary care plans with surgeons, cardiologists, and nursing teams
• Contribute to the strategic development, expansion, and clinical protocols of the Pediatric Cardiac ICU service
• Mentor junior physicians, fellows, and critical care nursing staff
• Communicate complex clinical information clearly and compassionately to families
• Participate in clinical research, audits, and quality improvement projects

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MD/MBBS) from a recognized institution
• Board Certification in Pediatric Critical Care, Cardiology, or Anesthesiology
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care
• 8–10 years of post-specialization experience, including consultant-level practice
• Eligibility for Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Consultant licensure
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage
