About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical care including outpatient clinics, inpatient ward rounds, and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Develop a subspecialty interest in areas such as acute leukaemia, myeloid malignancies, or stem cell transplantation
- Participate in the on-call rota for haematology emergencies
- Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
- Involve yourself in clinical governance, audit, and service development
- Engage in research and clinical trials
Requirements
- Full registration and licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Haematology (or within 6 months of interview)
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications and Fellowship of a Royal College (e.g., FRCPath)
- Experience in managing both malignant and non-malignant haematological conditions
- Commitment to teamwork, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement
